January 2015 - The Biggs Family

We are so honored to have been selected as Pas De Deux’s first Family of the Month. PDD is more than a business, more than a studio, they are a family that opens their doors and make everyone feel like they belong.

We are a proud Air Force family and have been lucky to live in many amazing places: Colorado, Alabama, England, Hawaii and now Texas. As soon as we arrived in Hawaii we started searching for a place for our daughter to dance. We knew instantly that Sydney’s first class would be at Pas De Deux. We started classes at the first location; it was small, but the classes were amazing. Syd walked into her first class and was scared of all the new people, she cried and even wanted to leave. Mr. Erick encouraged her and she was soon up dancing and having fun. Mr. Erick became her first dance teacher, a friend and her inspiration to dance. They shared a love for Michael Jackson-Syd and Michael share their birthday. She looked forward to her weekly classes and after the move to the new location Syd asked to Hula. Almost immediately Sydney fell in love with Hula and her amazing teacher, Ms. Shauna. Just before our final show with PDD, Syd was promoted to Ms. Candace’s class for Hip Hop. Ms. Candace taught Syd that hard work really pays off. We are sad that we had to leave Hawaii and PDD. It will be hard to find another studio and teachers that give so much to their students. We are grateful that we have made so many amazing friends and know that we will keep in touch.

Wendy and Jeremy~ thank you for fulfilling your dream of opening a studio so that Sydney could be inspired to dream.

PDD Families Old and New~ to get the most out of the PDD experience...volunteer. Be an usher, a quick change or backstage mom. Be the person who helps with costumes, organizing or just let your teachers know that you are available if they need you. Getting involved is the best thing you can do for yourself, your child and the studio.
