May 2016 - The Suzuki Family

Aloha! We are the Suzuki's, Jon, Shari, Shelby, Colby, our fur babies Mahina and Kea, and Chirp our feathered baby. Mahalo nui to Pas De Deux Hawaii for nominating us as the Family of the Month for May. Jon is a Machinist for Hawaiian Electric Company, Shari is a Resource Teacher for Leeward District Office servicing the Campbell and Kapolei Complex, Shelby is a Junior at Mililani High School, and Colby is a 6th grader at Mililani Middle School.

Shelby's passion for dance started 12 years ago with Aunty Teresa, Wendy's Mom, at W Performing Arts Studio in Wahiawa dancing Creative Movement. Thru the years she grown to love different genres – Ballet, Jazz, Hula, Tahitian, and even a little bit of Tap. Shelby lives and breathes dance 6 days a week. Not only does she take lessons at PDD but you can find her mentoring the keiki on Sundays.

A big thank you to Jeremy, Wendy, the staff of PDD, and Aunty Teresa. Shelby has been fortunate to have these talented and devoted mentors who have not only taught her how to dance but developed her into a poised young woman. Shelby has learned thru her experiences with Pas De Deux Hawaii that working hard and true dedication will help you reach your dreams. For those of you just starting off with your journey, you'll soon learn life wouldn't be the same without the PDD Hawaii Ohana. We are supportive, talented, and fun group of friends. We welcome you to join us in volunteering at the concerts.

Thank you again to the Pas De Deux Hawaii Staff for all that you do for our keiki!

Mahalo Nui Loa,
The Suzuki's
