September 2019 - The De Lima Family

Aloha, we are the De Lima ‘Ohana. We are so excited and extremely blessed to be chosen as PDD's family of the month for the month of September 2019!

We are a very close family that loves the outdoors to include the beach, hiking, fishing, soccer and football. We are Travis, Jacque, Taylor (16), Thalia (14), Tia (9), and Prince. Travis is the Maintenance Director for Hunt Companies, and Jacque is a Nurse Supervisor at Rehab Hospital of the Pacific. Taylor attends Damien Memorial and is on the varsity soccer team and plays club for Nemesis Soccer club and has been playing since he was 5. Thalia is currently homeschooled through a Catholic high school, and Tia attends St. Michaels School.

Thalia started at PDD in 2014 dancing ballet, jazz and hip hop, and theater.  Throughout her years at PDD, she has had numerous experiences such as one of the dancers in the PDD hip hop Thriller video, performing in the last Hawaii Pro Bowl, the theater production of Legally Blonde Jr.,performing in her first vocal performance in the 2018 Ho'ike, and also becoming a mentor. She recently suffered a foot injury that took her out of performing in PDD's last production. Thalia also plays soccer since she was 4 years old, and Jiu JitSu starting 2 years ago.

Tia started at PDD at age 4 in Creative Movement, and added on classes as soon she was of age to include ballet, jazz and hip hop. Tia also plays soccer as well. With her soccer schedule there was a conflict with hip hop so she had to take a break, but is considering adding it this dance season.

We would like to extend our greatest gratitude to Wendy, Jeremy, the teachers, mentors and all other staff at PDD. Our girls are so lucky to experience the love of dance at such an amazing studio that is shaping them and giving them the confidence to be the best dancer they can be. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

For you new families to PDD, welcome!! We have spent some long nights at PDD and it is such a great place to be a part of. You have just gained a great big extension of your family. Our advice to you is...volunteer, you will never get an experience like it, also get to know all your childs' instructors. Take advantage of all the opportunities your child can come across, you will not regret it!

We are so honored to have been a part of PDD for all these years and look forward to many more!
